    My Thyroid is throbbing?

I have Hashi's....newly diagnosed, but sick for decades.
My thyroid seems to be throbbing in my neck, pretty intensely. I'm sure it's the blood vessels around my thyroid, but it is intense.

Has anyone else ever felt that?

    Re: My Thyroid is throbbing?

I went from hyper (graves) to now Hypo. And I sure am experencing a whole new batch of symptoms I never had before. A throbbing thyroid? No , not realy throbbing, but a few days ago I did experience a sensation I never felt before ( in almost 2 to 3 years of my thyroid illness) and that was a tingling sensation in my thyroid. It didn't hurt, but I almost *felt* my thyroid working. If you know what I mean?

Last week my thyroid swelled up about twice it's size, according to my doctor it's because my thyroid is now not making enough hormones it has to start working harder/ or is under stress and therefore it will/might swell; and that would probably be the *sensation* I was feeling.Your thyroid lies in a very sensitive area. It might be the same with you...
    Is your thyroid swollen?
Honestly I know very little about it, that's why I'm here as well, to educate myself a bit around this bitchy thyroid I happen to have. I'm sure there are others who might be able to give you a much more accurate explanation !
