    How do you know?

I've been on Armour 30mg a day for 3 weeks now. I started wheezing and went to the Dr and was told I have bronchitis. My throat feels tight/full, lots of congestion and I have nonstop wheezing on exhaling. How do you know if this is the bronchitis or the thyroid medication? I'm sure if I asked the Doc, he'd shrug his shoulders. Can they figure out where the wheez is coming from (thyroid goiter or lungs)? I seriously want to stop the Armour to find out.

    Re: How do you know?

Bronchitis makes you feel sick, it hurts in chest to cough, you may have fever, coughing up mucus that is yellow/green, may be achy and have cold symptoms. Wheezing by itself can be from an allergic/asthmatic reaction. Goiters do not cause wheezing. Some people are allergic to armour thyroid and do better on a synthethic hormone replacement. If this seems more like the allergy description, and you have no history of asthma or wheezing, I would call your Dr about getting off the armour and switching to synthetic thyroid, like Synthroid.

    Re: How do you know?

Thank you for your reply. This does feel like those very same bronchitis symptoms. Maybe I'm just freaking out about my thyroid situation (I'm very new to this.)
The crackling is coming from my throat area.
    Thank you
