Smile Newly DX Secondary Hypo on Synthroid what can I expect???

Hi I am 33 yo F dx on 6/2 started Synthroid 25 mcg and have been taking it for almost 3 weeks. I noticed this weekend I have a little more energy! (YAY)

One of the RNs I work with (who's hypo) told me that patients who are severely hypo noticed a big difference in the first 2-3 weeks. Is that true?

What else can I expect to experience in the next couple of months as we continue adjusting the dosage?
Will my hair stop falling out? Continue to get more energy? Joint pain lessen? Constant sleepiness go away? Etc

    Thanks in advance!
    Andrea

    6 weeks after starting Synthroid....
    TSH 0.57
    Free T4 0.90
    Free T3 2.5

Re: Newly DX Secondary Hypo on Synthroid what can I expect???

I have hashimoto thyroiditis and have been on levothorixine for about a year.... Still trying to dial in the dosage and my Endo-doc just bumped the dosage about a month ago. a few weeks after that I got the slight left armpit swelling and discomfort... Arm fell asleep at night without being laid on (you know - cutting off the circulation), so that was odd too.

i saw your posts from 2010 related to armpit soreness. You 2010 post seems almost exactly what I'm experiencing now.... So what happened? diagnosis? corrective action?

thank in advance for any info you can give.

I was diagnosed with secondary hypo recently. The soreness was from fibrocystic breasts. Sorry I am sure that doesn't help you
I will tell you that hypo can cause carpal tunnel issues until you have the hashi's under control.
