splint therapy made me worse

I am looking for a good tmj specialist that can help me in Vancouver BC Canada.... Any help would be greatly appreciated have done splint therapy for 3 months which has basically made me worse off as they have changed my splint 3 times and it is never balanced on my horribly shaved down teeth from bad dental work in January. My muscles from jaw all the way to my toes have been in constant spasm since January! I have 3 small kids and it is almost impossible to function at this point!

I am worse off now than the start. My splint was changed three times and I can barely open my mouth I can't eat swallowing is now becoming difficult... I have this "repositions" splint it's basically flat I have no bite whatsoever on this splint or with my teeth as none of them touch now I am edge to edge.... I can barely use the back of my jaw

I do not have a repositioning splint, so cant say, but no harm consulting Liem. I know a very good physiotherapist in Coquitlam who specializes inTMJ, in case you need one. She helps in improving mouth opening but could not help in the jaw pain.But you should probably consult the doc you are working with as well.

same here my jaw is now worse! after 2 month of splint! aftersplint i got muscle spasm! sometime my jaw automatically clinch,my mouth opening became smaller.. i dot know what i have to live for anymore! am 25 year old!
tinnitus+hyperacusis+tmj . i cannot live with the pain all my life..i really prefer to die.
am not able even to eat salads or fruits.

Hi, why did he give you the splint in the first place? Do you have any bite problems? what does the splint look like?
