Question CyMy Sue---splint question

Hi: You and others constanly mention splints but what kind are you talking about? I have an acrylic bite plate for sleeping which doesn't work and this week I'm getting a bionator. Can you explain the difference and tell me what kind of splint you have that you said has helped you??

The splint I'm using is made for people without disc, surgically damaged joints, rheumatoid or other types of arthritis. It's name decribes it's function. It's a Passive Posterior Muscle Repositional Splint.

I'm not familiar with the other types, other than what I've read on the board.

GenDen, I believe uses one type of splint for daytime and a bionater at night. (I think)

There are several members who have used and are using Anterior Repositional Designs, and others have mentioned bionators.

I'm sorry, I don't know anything about these other types. You could do a search on the board and use keywords "Anterior Repositional" and "Bionator" and bring up the threads where these have been discussed or post a new topic and ask what kind each person is using and what their results have been.

Thanks.....I know it's different for everyone and that's a hard question but I was confused with the terminology "splint" since it can mean different things. You had mentioned that you were getting better with yours which is great...I hope I have the same results.
