Question Ear tubes ?

Does anyone know exactly why our ears don't drain properly with TMJ?

Has anyone had success with ear tubes? They did a myringotomy (sp) to me and it seemed to help some, thats making a hole in the ear drum, and told me to come back for tubes if it didnt help long term.

Now every time I get out of the shower or eve try to yawn my clogged ear gets so bad I want to shoot myself. Any suggestions?

The opening of the eustachian tube, which drains the middle ear is in an area surrounded by a muscle. When this muscle is in spasm, it affects the eustachian tube and pressure and fluid can begin to build-up in the middle ear. This muscle can go into spasm any time there is spasm in the jaw muscles, because all of these structures develop from the same early tissues in the embryo, and , consequently, their nerves are closely related.

Thanks, that explains a lot more than my docs were doing. Is there anything they can do to relieve the pain/spasm?
