Question Tmj....??

Burning tongue..really bad.

Sore jaws (hurts to chew and talk and justhurt)

Neck sore (range of motion poor)

Ears(mostly right)..Pain,ring ,sometimes feel like a quick black out.Hyperacusis..sounds like paper crumple, throat clearing, sharp sounds also.

Eye(right)..blurry, doesn't adjust well when glasses are removed(readers and distance)
Droopy right lid.

Temple pain

Scalp tenderness (temples and behind ears-when wearing glasses.
Brushing and combing hair)
Dizzy unbalanced feeling.( when walking feel teetery)

Nasal soreness on right side.

Chin..lower jaw sore to touch.

Toothbrushing..sensitive mostly right side.

Neck and shoulders sore and achy.

Have had swelling on right side of face.

Head pressure..ears ,jaw cheek.

All of these symptoms have been severe enough during the past 5 months to keep me from enjoying my life. I huurt and feel too miserable to enjoy doing any thing. I am a Granny of six and must get better to enjoy them.

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE TMJ OR WHAT???

Re: Tmj....??

Yes, these symptoms certainly do sound like TMJ. I have most of them myself. Only way to find out is to visit your dentist.

Good luck.

Re: Tmj....??

Hi again

No, I dont have the burning tongue but im sure ive heard other people with TMJ have this problem. However it could be completely unrelated. There are many causes ie:

xerostomia, candidiasis, other chronic infections, referred pain from the tongue muscles, dental disease, reflux of gastric acid, medications, noxious oral habits, blood dyscrasias, nutritional deficiencies, allergies, inflammatoriy disorders, psychogenic factors, or unknown causes. Geographic tongue results from loss of filiform papillae from patches on the dorsal surface of the tongue. The location of the patches may appear to shift over a period of weeks. It is usually not painful and does not require specific treatment.

I just lifted that from doing a search on the internet.
