Well folks, I'm back.

I know you guys probably won't remember me. 8 months ago I came here complaining of the usual jaw sticking/popping...horrible headaches..the works. Since then I have found an awesome TMJ specialist. He gave me an appliance that has worked absolutly outstanding. It helped correct my jaw problem. My jaw is now healed after 8 months of splint more popping or sticking more headaches. Now the next step in my process would be the Upper Arch Expander which I'll wear for about 6 months....with braces shortly after. After 2 years of braces I would be completly done. Im wearing the spacers now. I would just like to update for all that cared and just assure everyone whos having problems that there is relief out there somewhere. Just gotta keep the faith. I'll update shortly after Christmas when I get my braces put on. Good luck everyone and thank you to everyone that helped me on my way to recovery.

Congratulations! I'm thrilled to hear you have found a solution. Especially a non surgical one. Good luck with the rest of your treatment.

Re: Well folks, I'm back.

I'm so happy for you. I've been dealing with it for 8 months after I had a faulty upper denture made. I continue to have some muscle spasms on the right , they made a splint out of my upper denture and have been having bite adjustments bi weekly since June. They feel I am at the point where I won't be 100% till the new denture is made now which will begin in Jan. I am just praying the new upper denture works. Please keep us posted on your progress and good luck to you.

Great to hear somebody is actually having success with splint therapy. May i ask what does you dentist specialize in? If you don't know, can you ask? GT
