Bilateral joint replacement - concepts

Just to let you all know that I have survived the surgery. I have had bi-lateral concepts replacements two weeks ago and am feeling okay. The surgery is horrendous and I would definately think twice about having it all again but the good news is that the pain from the joints I originally had is no longer there only the pain from the trauma of the op.

I had been told that I will be unable to chew anything until about 3 months or so. My opening is very restricted still (can only get the tip of a very small spoon in to eat) and they have advised that I will not be able to exercise this until after 2 months.

Other than that I feel okay have no nerve damage at all and am taking things easy!

I'm very happy to hear you are doing okay. That is such a major surgery and to feel the way you do already is a good sign. I hope your recovery goes smoothly. Keep us updated!

Good for you! I wish you a speedy and safe recovery and yes it is a long recovery road but take it day by day and you will get there.
