Multiple Conditions??

I received a newsletter from the TMJD Association a few months back that listed several conditions that commonly occur in the same person, TMJ was one of them, Endometriosis was another (some others were Cycitis, Fibromialga, and Vulvodynia, I think, I prob murdered the spelling on most of those). Does anyone else have these two conditions, how do you experience them to be related? Does anyone have a good doctor that can treat both or who understands the link?

btw I found out this info from the "News Bites" (get it...hehe) email newsletter. This particular post helped me finally get diagnosed wit Endo. I highly suggest signing up to receive this newsletter!

Re: Multiple Conditions??

Welcome to the TMJ club.
I've had Endometriosis, but not the others. I had the endometriosis about 15 years ago. After 2 operations to remove the excess tissue, I had a hysterectomy. I have no idea how the two are related, but I'll do some research and try to find a connection. I'll post and let you know what I find out, please do the same. I don't know a doctor in New York. I moved out of the Big Apple 15 years ago. Hopefully someone else on the board has a lead on that part of it.
Hang in there.

Re: Multiple Conditions??

I've had almost all of them but a few you mentioned, and some you did not mention.

It's not that one causes the other (that's impossible), it's that MOST people (women in particular) who have one have some other things going on in common.
