Are sandwhiches ok to eat?...

Hi. My doc said that I could eat sandwhiches, but I am wondering about this. I eat wiht a splint in my mouth. Yesterday, I ate a bologne and cheese sandwhich on egg bread wihtout the crust. At first I bit into it ( acouple of bites), but then I broke it apart. Was I not supposed to eat this?

Re: Are sandwhiches ok to eat?...

Hi Nicole,

I suppose as long as it doesn't cause any pain and the doctor says it's OK, it should be fine. When I had muscle aches and pains, I always used pain as a friend, not the enemy. When the pains got worse, I backed off from the exercise. When the pains were less, then I could do more.

Does that seem to work for you too, with your jaw problems? If it doesn't hurt, does that seem to be a good guide? Is that what you have experienced in the past?

Hi Rhody. No, I don't have any pain when I chew. The only symptom that I have with TMJ, is that my ear plugs up over small hills. From what I understand, this is a muscle problem. I just don't want to do anything to aggravate the problem.
