Question Is this a TMJ symptom? Feels like something touching my ear.

I have had TMJ since my twenties and I have had success with exercises and IMS but lately my left ear started to feel like something was touching it. I guess you could say it feels a bit like a tingle or tickle. It stops when I brush my hand over it but it returns often. The sensation is located just on the outside of my ear where the ear meets the temple. I have checked to make sure it isnt my hair causing this tickling sensation. I open and close my jaw to see if that will make it go away but it doesnt really.
    Is this a TMJ symptom?
I do experience ringing in my ears from time to time. Would you believe I wasnt really aware of it since I have had TMJ so long. I thought the ringing noises were normal until I started reading forums like this one.
If anyone out there has this symptom I would be interested to hear from you.
