Ive been getting so much neuralgia through my legs and buttocks, its doing my head in! I keep thinkin its somethin serious so i went to the doc (for the millionth time!) and he looked at me like i was mental, gave me pills for anxiety and sent me on my way. I've had the pain on and off for about 4 months now.... ARRRRRRGH!!!

Sorry, just felt like ranting

Re: neuralgia

Rant all you want, if it makes you feel better! Sorry, that you're so feeling bad, but I know what you mean....I keep an ongoing prescription of tylenol-3's on me at all times, just for that reason. You need to find a way to occupy your mind with something else....Find something that makes you relax, books, movies, take a walk, long warm bath, enjoy the outdoors, something. The more you focus on the problem, the longer it exists. Break the vicious cycle!
Hoping something here was helpful. Good luck & feel better, -Ornament

Re: neuralgia sucks

Have the same symptons and problem. Burning pain in thigh and groin. Almost over it after ten days and yesterday injured my back while working out. Anxiety over new pain re-triggered burning in thighs and groin. So I am starting over. Am beginning to believe this problem is brought on by mental stress. If you can overcome the stress you will conquer this problem. Speaking personally I know this is easier said then done.

What is nice is that websites like this exist where we can compare notes to help each other out. I was going crazy initially thinking it was a urological problem and wasted three visits to a urologist only to discover now it is more psychological then physiological.

Good Luck
