Re: Leutal PHASE????

luteal phase is the days between you O day and the day you start AF. So lets say you had a 30 day cycle and you O on day 16 then your luteal phase would be 14 days. a luteal phase is important for sustaining a pregnacy. I believe if it is shorter then 10 days there may be a hormonal imbalance which should be addressed. your luteal phase usually stays about the same each month. Mine ranged from 14-15 days.
Hope that helped!!

Re: Leutal PHASE????

Luteal phases can be lengthened. I had a lp of 9-10 days, ten days os ok but not really that acceptable considering implantation can occur right up to 12dpo. I use natural progesterone cream to lengthen my lp, and its worked a treat!

Re: Leutal PHASE????

The best way to determine your LP is by BBT charting. The reason is this: You could have a 28 day cycle but actually O on day 16. That would mean your LP was really 12 days instead of 14. The LP is very consistent and it will not change by more than one day from cycle to cycle. Your FP (AF to O) is more volatile though, and the day you O each month can change. A lot of women think they are having a late period when in fact, what they experienced was late O. Again, the reason being that your LP will not change. If you are BBT charting and notice that you O late, then you will know exactly when you are going to get AF instead of wondering if you are preg or not. I know this is a little confusing, but hopefully you made some sense out of it!
