Can you still get regular periods and not ovulate?

Hey guys. i have been temping for this whole month and should have ovulated about five days ago. i know theres no definite time to O, but im due for AFon the 20th of this month, and going by the theory that you O 14days before you next period i should have O'd on the 6th of this month.

i have not had an increase in temps to suggest that i have O'd and mine are pretty stabel. i have 32 day cycles but they are pretty regular.

confused, can you not ovulate and still get your period????

Re: Can you still get regular periods and not ovulate?

yes it is possible, aparantly its normal to have a couple of cycles every now and then and not ovulate.
There is also a possibility that you might still ovulate and your cycle is just going to be abit longer this month! this happens sometimes if your abit stressed out. Or if your like me, i had really regular cycles but it changed and they have been extreamly long for a year now. I would think yours was probably a one off though!

good luck xx

The LP which is the time from O to the start of your period tends to be 12 to 16 days. In other words that means depending on your LP you can O anywhere from 12 to 16 days before your next period not just 14 days.
Also when taking your temps make sure you are getting at least 4 hours of undisturbed sleep. That you are taking it the same time every morning before getting out of bed and without moving around too much.
Yes you can have some regular cycles without O occurring.

Re: Can you still get regular periods and not ovulate?

Yes it is possible but not as likely to have regular periods but not ovulate. I went to see a doctor before I became pregnant because it was taking us some time TTC and he said he had a patient that had a period every 28 days but did not ovulate. But based on the fact that I had regular cycles, positive opk tests each month, and PMS symptoms before AF arrives he concluded I did ovulate. Well he was right because a week and half after that appointment I got a positive pregnancy test. So try the opks and if they are postive and within the normal luteal phase and you get pms symptoms you almost for sure ovulate.
