Red face Faint Line Disappeared?

Hi. This board has helped me in the past, so I thought I would come back seeing as how I could really use the advice. Any would be much appreciated.

I took a pg test on the 11th (bfn), and another on the 13th. The last one I took, you could see an extremely faint line (you had to look pretty close) after 2min. But by the time 10min passed, it disappeared.

I am on the 28th day of my cycle, but do not know O day bc DH and I have not been actively trying.

Has this happened to any of you? Help!

Re: Faint Line Disappeared?

Most say not to rely on the results after ten minutes. Wait a few days and test again.

I had a similar situation with my son. After a few minutes and no positive, I got frustrated and threw it away. The next day I had a wierd feeling about it and picked it up. It had a faint second line. Since it had been well over 10 minutes, I took another test. I got another faint line.

Best wishes!

Re: Faint Line Disappeared?

I think that in a few days to a week you'll take another test and that faint line will be a little darker. Good luck!!

Re: Faint Line Disappeared?

thanks. i was thinkin about takin another test in the morning with fmu b/c the ones i took were in the afternoon and tomorrow will be 48hrs since i took my last one. i know that hcg doubles every 2 days so if i get a negative tomorrow i will assume i am not pg.

has this happened to anyone with disappearing lines?

Re: Faint Line Disappeared?

well ladies, i gave in and took another test. same thing. except it didn't disappear all the way this time. it was a very oh so faint (pink) line after 2min, and now that 10 min is up is more like a "ghost line". i called customer service of the test (New Choice Dollar General brand) and they told me any line before 10 min is concidered +. of course, though, i am still weary.

any opinions? please? thanks so much!

Re: Faint Line Disappeared?

Maybe you should try a different type of test. Do you have any symptoms of pregnancy?

I think u are pregnant because i always read that a faint line is a sign of pregnancy they detect hcg and i dont think you would have that in your system if you were not pregnant. Most test give you clear results about 5 days either after or before a missed period. This may seem weird to say but the way you explain it seems like your hcg levels are not as detectable because u may have gotten pregnant a few days or a week ago.

Ps: Try getting a digital test. You pee on it and in about a minute you get a digital read out that says pregnant or not pregnant. Thats the one i used and it surprised the heck outta me.

Re: Faint Line Disappeared?

i would love a digital test, but pocket can't afford it right now. yes, i do have symptoms. i've been getting nauseous in the morning and right before bed. i've been extremely tired lately to the point that i feel like i could fall asleep standin up. also mild cramping. af was due today, but nothing yet. also i've had noticable cm on tissue paper. i have two kids, so i know what to look for. i put in a call to my dr just incase. showed the test to my sis. she sees it too.
