Can't urinate for months

My husband had a hip replacement almost four months ago and hasn't been able to urinate since. In between he has had a TURP procedure (followed by another procedure to remove a 9cm blood clot in bladder from the TURP) and two cystoscopies to try to solve inability to urinate problem. Lots of trauma, I know...he is so discouraged. Urologist says there are no obstructions and he will eventually urinate...but when? Anyone have any ideas for exercise, acupuncture, massage...anything?

Is he accumulating fluid in his kidneys?(called hydronephrosis). A quick ultrasound can tell you that. Has your doctor talked you about getting nephrostomy tubes? This is a tube inserted through your back into your kidneys. The external part of the tube is attached to a bag and drains your kidneys that way.
