Can't urinate for 10 months post surgery

So, I posted here about my husband several months ago and I am back again.

It is now ten months since he had hip replacement surgery and since the day of the surgery he has been unable to urinate on his own. We have been to three urologists, he's had TURP surgery, urodynamics test...everything...and there are no answers. All we know is that his bladder is not contracting (it was before the surgery) and the doctors have "never seen anyone unable to urinate this long after hip replacement surgery." He self-catheterizes.

New hip was never properly rehabbed as a result of all this. My husband's mobility is not what it should be. Yes, we're sorry he ever had the surgery.

Any insights, ideas, advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.
