    Question Possible UTI

I've been having pain in my lower ab and sometimes it burns when I urinate. I also get constipated. My Dr did a urine test and said he's not sure what is going on but is treating me for a URI. He's not sure if that's what it is. The meds he gave me makes me sick. I have a hard time with prescription drugs with all the side effects. I don't feel like it's an infection but I'm not sure either. What is something good that is natural that can help with bladder pain? Is there something else that can cause bladder pain that is not an infection?

Are you on any medications? Have you had any bowel or reproductive tract issues...all can put pressure on the bladder causing discomfort. Have you had cloudy urine or changes in colour?

Bladder inflammation can cause pain and spasming during urination....what comes to mind from my own past experience is interstitial cystitis.

You can try cranberry capsules as well as a good probiotic to keep colon and vaginal health balanced.

Thank you for your reply. I got a call from my Dr to stop taking the antibiotic I was on, my urine culture came back negative for infection. I do have some bowel problems. It's not bothering me as bad now as it was. Still a little discomfort tho

Go see a GI doctor... its clear that something is amiss- and a good GI doctor can talk to you about diet and your symptoms and make sure its nothing else. I had similar pain when my Gallbladder went bad and I had absolutely no idea that my Gallbladder was in trouble. I didnt have any classic symptoms.

Get a good physical from a Gastroenterologist and make sure your digestive tract is in good shape....after that see a GYN and let them take a look.

Just because its not an infection doesnt mean it cant be viral in the GI tract or the gyn area. There are simple remedies but you need to know what you are dealing with.

    Feel better!
