Post fever and kidney infection

HI. I am 20 and this is the 2nd time I get Pyelonephritis (Kidney Infection)as the result of untreated UTI (I always mistake it with the flu) in 5 months. I went to the doc yesterday and I am on Cipro now.

Thses days I shiver and feel very cold and tremble a lot, and then get the fever. After the fever, I get well and feel normal again but then, I get the shiver again and so on.

The first time I got this kidney infection, my doc gave me a shot for the fever (I had 40 C) and I felt well after that but the hospital changed the doc and this one just told me to take aspirin, which doesnt help at all.

For all of you who had this same problem, what did you take for the fever and belly pain?

21 yrs old, female =)
