    Male yeast infections

Can anyone tell me what the signs of a male yeast infection are? Are there any sores on the shaft that would be associated with a yeast infection? If so, how long do they last? I think it may be herpes, but also not sure of male yeast infections and their symptoms. Scared to go to the dr. right now.

    Thanks

    Re: Male yeast infections

    hey,

i actually had a male yeast infection a few months back and i can tell u that was happened to me was that the shaft of my penis was very red, and cracky. it itched like crazy! i used to scratch the shaft for what seemed like hours on end. but i dont recommend that! im pretty sure what u have is a yeast infection. i dont think its herpes. i thought mine was herpes too, but i realized that im a virgin and that i couldnt have herpes. i remember though that the shaft of my penis was very red, scaly, and itchy. i used Lotrimin for jock itch for a week or week and a half and the itching and redness went away. hope it helps! keep me posted.

They are more common in diabetics. you can buy the female monostat cream over the counter and it will clear it up in a few days. I used to get them often before I got my blood sugar under control.

    Re: Male yeast infections

So, can they last for 5 weeks or longer? I never had any bumps, or blisters, just red, itchy, sometimes flaky, nearly raw, but not quite raw, skin, with what looked like a papercut. It gets worse when I masturbate, which I am sure should be discontinued during this time. How do they test for male yeast infections?

    Thanks a lot
