Recovery from Turp Question

I had a Turp done 1 week ago and hope that my recovery is par for the course. I have read all the other messages and seem to get the conclusion that most people feel that having to urinate every 1.5 to 2 hrs is considered frequent! That sounds like heaven to me. I seem to go every 15 minutes or so now and also had a fair of frequency before the operation. What is considered normal as far as frequency goes?...also has anyone needed to retrain their bladder after Turp? Also, especially at night I get a tremendous itching in my urethra that drives me crazy. Is this considered part of the healing process? Any feedback is greatly appreciated...Cheers

Tomorrow will be 6 weeks I had TURP. I am 70 years old in good physical shape.
The first couple of weeks, I had to urinate frequently 30-60 min, and when I had to go, it was NOW.
Resting, no caffeine (except my morning 2 cups of tea) helped.
Funny, if I washed my hands or took a shower, I had the urge to urinate right away.
It definitely takes more time than the Uro said. Still some pain after I urinate, but improving steadily.
Also feel tired.
FWIW, I had sex 4 1/2 weeks after and it was fine.
