    Question Reaction to Covid injection

I'm a 66-year-old woman. I had a mild case of Covid in October. Had my 1st Covid injection on Feb. 10th and had chills, body aches, nausea, headache, and fatigue about 12 hours later. Lasted about 24 hours. I'm due for my second injection on March 11th. But I've been reading that in cases like mine the first shot is in effect like your second shot and the 2nd one is not needed. Also, kind of nervous about the 2nd one for possible worse side effects. I called my doctor who told me I should check with the CDC. I did that and was told they could not tell me one way or the other, that the choice to have the 2nd one is mine. Has anyone been in a similar situation and had the 2nd one and if so were the side effects still bad or worse? I need a little guidance here please! Thanks in advance.

    Re: Reaction to Covid injection

There is no way to know. Everyone is different. I've had both shots and only arm pain at injection site. I have friends who had bad chills, etc. on the first and some on the second and some with both. I guess the question is whether 24 hours is worth it.
