Question What's the minimum amount of food to take a few vitamins?

I would like to take a multivitamin, vitamin C, and NAC, but don't have time for a meal. Would it work with 5 almonds?

What's the minimum amount of food you should take with vitamins so that they absorb properly?

5 almonds is not the right kind of food unfortunately. The vitamins which are important to take with food are the fat soluble vitamins, A, D, E and K. All of these are in a multi vitamin. For your body to absorb these vitamins, you need fat in your diet. Almonds do not have allot of fat...

Try eating a piece of cheese, walnuts, which have more fat than almonds or even a quick hardboiled or scrambled egg to get the most out of the vitamins you are taking.

I always try taking my vitamins with a meal. Not only does it help absorption, but they can upset my stomach if I haven't had any food. If you're in a rush I'd say just save the vitamins until you are able to take them with a snack or meal.
