Does anyone know of an herb or some kind of natural pain reliever? Just trying to stay away from over the counter things like tylenol etc. Rachel

Re: natural pain reliever

Alexanders mom....i don't think any herb (legal) will work as fast as over the counter pain medications but here's a few i know of. Feverfew and Ginkgo for inflammatory headaches. Ginger and Tumeric for overall pain and inflammation and Cayenne Pepper for nerve pain.....

Although not an herb but Magnesium is good also for pain....

Re: natural pain reliever

Ditto on the ginger and turmeric. You can also try boswellia. If you have joint pain you can try glucosamine or MSM.

Re: natural pain reliever

Hi,
I don't know what kind of pain you are referring to, but if it's joint pain
which is caused by inflammation. FlexNow is a fairly new inflammation
fighter for arthritis etc. It's made from the Shea Nut. Takes about a month
for it to kick in, but I hear it really works and it's natural, can get it at a
health food store. Now if you mean for headaches etc, I can only suggest
you stop by a health food store and ask for something natural for that, not
familiar w/ anything for that.

Re: natural pain reliever

I was looking into things for headaches and noticed some discussion on DLPA which is an amino acid used to make seratonin. Some people take if for chronic pain. I tried it and thought it helped, but I didn't really know how much to take. [removed]

Also, some people take 5-Http, which contains tryptophen. You can get that at your drugstore.

Re: natural pain reliever

Not sure what kind of pain you are referring to. I used to live on excedrin for headaches and motrin for cramps. I started doing yoga at home on a whim and to my surprise it cut my headaches and joint pain way down and for the first time I did not require any motrin for monthly cramps. This was a surprise side effect to starting yoga.

Have you tried Homeopathic Medicine??

Like olive leaf extract that naturally support the Body Defense system.

or Oscillococcinum for treating or preventing cold or flu.

Re: natural pain reliever

I've tryed back relief elite and Etreme and super sciatica relief when is used for back pain, it has helped somewhat, with herniated disks you will get Stenosis I beleive thats what it is helping. Fore sure the acid stomack problems have gotten very very good it took about 2 month or less. So I can say for sure that they did help acid stomack problems, hopefully it may help the bloating problem also. Last but not lest i now have better releive takeing their product and the morphine together, Just started Not taken the morphine before bed so as to sleep and that has worked alot of times. Their delivery I do not like I am in Canada for some reason 80% of deliveries are well over the date, you think you will receive the products. But anything is better than nothing
