B12 & weight gain?

I gained a few pounds recently. I initially chalked it up to not exercising as regularly and as vigorously as I had been and the stress and slight overeating during the holidays. I was reading a post on another board and someone said they'd gained weight since they began taking a B12 supplement.

I started taking a B12 supplement about 6 weeks ago. My hair stylist recommended it to me to assist in hair growth. Well, I haven't noticed my hair growing any faster, but I have noticed a few extra pounds that aren't going away - even after I've begun to get back on the wagon with the diet and exercise.

Just wondering if there might be a link between the extra pounds and the B12. I'm going to stop with the B12 and see what happens.

Re: B12 & weight gain?

Depending on how many capsule in the bottle and the quality of the B-12 in the bottle, your probably going to have to use 2 - 4 bottle before you see improvement with your hair.

I did a browser search of B-12, I didn't see anything about weight gain.

Re: B12 & weight gain?

Hi snogal, I was signing on to leave a message about a few things, but B12 being part of it. The weight gain and the B12? I think that may be one of my problems; it is possible anyway. I started taking B12 around Christmas (also stopped smoking January 2nd and everybody wants to add it up to that... I know a little better, blah, blah). Before I ramble on any more, it seems like most of mine is water weight. How about you?
