    Lap Band and Aspirin

26 year old with possible TIA occurence has been prescribed Plavix since she has lap band. Instructed to take an 81 mg Aspirin daily but prescribed the Plavix due to possible GI bleed with aspirin sitting on stomach before absorption. Has anyone been told they can take a chewable aspirin without fear of bleed?
