Lightbulb post gastric bypass personality change

I don't even know where to start...

I didn't realize things could get so extreme after gastric bypass surgery.
My husband had his just over a year ago. He has always had a short fuse; but in the last few months things have gotten worse!

Also, he has been consuming large quantities of candy, but does not gain any wait.

The other day he came home and said he had a headache all day and still was not feeling good.

He asked me to check his blood sugar and it was only 57!

    That explained the headache!

Since his surgery during the last 6 months there are times where he loses his focus on what he is doing and seems to get "loopy"!

I thought it may have to do with low blood sugar but when we had checked it at times it was always within normal range.

When I got to this website today it was a great relief to find out that my husband and I are not the only ones having this problem.

I had a roux-n-y three years ago and it has not affected my personality except I think im a little more out-going. If he is eating candy and he had the roux-n-y when you eat too much of that kind of food it runs right through you without being absorbed and you get diarrhea. Thats the whole point of the bypass. I noticed that my sugar can be low at times too. Better than High. BUT low bloosd sugar can change your personality. I may have personality changes at 70 but maybe his is different.
