    Question VGS - Gastric Sleeve

I am contemplating the gastric sleeve surgery. I will have to self-pay. I have a BMI of 35 with diabetes & high blood pressure. I have been very unsuccessful keeping weight off (over 30 years of failed attempts). Please offer any advice. Thank you.

Best thing I've ever done. I'm eight months post op and have lost more than half my weight. My bmi was 58 and is now 39!!! Do your research and good luck!

I agree with what Kimpossible67k said - do your homework, research the clinic and the surgeon, find out about the follow-up.

I myself had gastric sleeve last July, and am glad to have a tool to help me achieve a healthier me

I've been doing some reading lately, authored by a bariatric surgeon. He no longer recommends surgery because he says the weight starts coming back after about 2 years.
