Hi everyone! I recently lost 88 lbs. the old fashioned wayÖI watch what I ate and cut back portions. It was coming off but not as fast as I wanted (Iíll soon be 66) so I cut way back on carbs and then it came off quite easily.

Iím about 5í4 and currently weigh 148 lbs. Ideally, Iíd like to drop another 15 or so but the hunger pangs and the protein craving are killing me. Thankfully, Iíve never been a sweets eater nor an emotional eater so thatís not an issue but my body has always craved protein...but not like this. I donít miss the bread, pasta or potatoes in the least but, at 65, if I could sell my body on the local street corner for protein, I probably would. 😊 A year ago when I began this journey, I blew past the expected hunger and proudly marched forward but I can no longer do that.

I havenít reached my goal but I havenít started gaining yet, either and thatís something I will NOT allow but Iíd sure like to hit that goal. What am I doing wrong and how do I get rid of the hunger pangs and protein cravings?

Hi Jordan,

Your hunger pangs could be helped by eating more whole foods that are high in fiber, not fiber supplements.

And you could get more protein at the same time: Beans and lentils are high in protein and fiber.

Fiber helps to curb your appetite.
