Post Getting Rid of clothes

Hey guys, tonight I decided to tackle my closet and get rid of stuff that I either A)hated in the first place but put it in there because my mom liked it B)Was too big C)just plain old didnt want to wear it anymore. I know this isnt really "weightloss" topic so to say but the reason I'm getting rid of it all is because I'm loosing weight and need it out of my closet. I dont know if anyone will be interested or not but I figured atleast I'd give a heads up on it. Most of the clothes I have are either L,XL or 14/16. Anything I have thats a sixteen hasnt really been worn (once if that) I have a brand new pair of jeans (literally) and their sixteens but their too baggy on me (the 14's were too small) their from old navy. I also have a pair of old navy fire engine red flood pants that are too big on me otherwise i'd keep em.

What about going to someone to get the clothes that you liked but were to big taken in? I'm going to do that for a peacoat that's too big but I still love.

Talking Way to go!

Yes, I tried on many clothes the other day that had gotten too big and I tried on others I hadn't worn in some time and can now. It's a GREAT feeling!

One thing I did a few months ago at the beginning of my diet/new life, is get rid of a lot of old lady/fat lady clothes my Mom had given me. A sad but true fact is that Mothers often, when they think they are being supportive, are hurting more than helping. My Mother, without intention, did a lot of things to reinforce old age/fat woman feelings in me. I love her dearly but I had to shake all that off, and part of that was getting rid of the moo moo looking tents she'd given me.

Now, down 33 pounds, I am having a waistline and tucking shirts INTO my slacks and skirts and feeling a lot more like I have some shape-the shape of a woman, not a beach ball. And when she got some pics of me recently, she was thrilled that I was losing weight, truly happy. So I know in buying me or making for me those old loose shapeless dresses, she never intended the efect they had on me.

You are doing great and keep up the good work. Shake off the negative or unhealthy thinking and self-image and you'll be thin for life. That's my plan anyway!

I have to admit, it does give me that warm and fuzzy feeling to know that I'm too small to fit into that stuff.
I can't wait to loose 33lbs, congrats to you and to ALL of you! Today remember, is the starting date for the Summer Weight Loss Challenge. Hope ya'll have started off on the right foot!
