Post Hi!! I'm a newbie

I just found this board and since I'm always dieting, I thought it would be nice to get some tips from others. I'm looking forward to reading everybody's ideas on what works/doesn't work, etc.

HI Chris

Welcome to the boards. It helps to share your 'story' with us, or post your stats, tell us what diets you have already tried. Join us in the Thanksgiving challenge. We all choose our own diet and they are all different!! And then we choose the goal we'd like to be at by thanksgiving and try our darndest to get there!! We check in every day or every few days and chat. It's fun!O!

Good luck to you

Thanks everybody!! I'm looking forward to the support that everybody gives each other.

I just turned 36, and am about 80 pounds overweight. I've pretty much done it all. I love salty-type foods and that is my worst downfall.

The most successful for me has been Weight Watchers, but what happens is every week at weigh-in I would become like a crazy woman, drinking water with lemon, starving myself, etc. I like having a support group because it's so difficult.

I do workout about 5 days a week. Unfortunately, the heavier I get, the harder it is on my body to workout.

I guess that's about it for now.

Thanks for the hearty welcome!!
