Music to lose to

I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good work out music. I recently got a new program called Rhapsody 25 and I now have 25 free music streams. I am looking for something to keep me moving. I love their ad free radio but I enjoy having my choice of songs at times. Any suggestions?

The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Nine Inch Nails do it for me. Pretty much anything fast-paced with some good drums is all I find that I really need. Even the old "Jock Jams" of the 90's have some great workout songs.

Re: Music to lose to

Any kind of music? I like to workout to classic rock. I only listen to music on my iPod when I'm jogging, so I guess it depends on what you're doing too. Yeah, any fast music is good, but here are some of my favorites.

"Take It Easy" - the Eagles
"I Want to Break Free" - Queen
"Hey Jude" - the Beatles
"Touch of Gray" - the Grateful Dead
"The Passenger" - Iggy Pop
"Eye of the Tiger" - Survivor (haha)

But you know, those are good songs regardless

Smile Re: Music to lose to

When I run outside at night, I like to listen to Coldplay because it really mellows me out. When I'm working out at the gym or during the day, I like to listen to hip hop and classic rock. "We will rock you" by Queen ALWAYS gets me going--I almost had an asthma attack once bc I was listening to it and ran so hard! I also like "rockafella skank" by Fatboy Slim, Eric Prydz "Call on Me" remix, and "Crazy on You" by Heart. Sometimes I like listening to new rap or hip-hop songs, because they motivate me to get skinny so I can wear cute clothes and go dancing to them!

Re: Music to lose to

Thanks for all your recommendations. I used up the free streams from Rhapsody in no time. I actually ended up getting the subscription since I needed more work out music to keep me going. Being my first time using a music program, I was impressed with the quality. I can now see why mp3's and streams are so popular.

Re: Music to lose to

I use XM Radio. I have a portable player at work. At home, I use my computer to connect to xm online. (The subscription to portable player includes internet based xm online).

If you just wanna use your internet, xm online is 8 bucks or some thing per month. They have some good music out there. I like their BPM channel and also the underground dance channel.

Its just like rhapsody. I used to use rhapsody but then I gave up because it bothers me to come up with my own playlists. I rather have a dj handle the selection and I just choose the room (so as to say).
