If the ceiling is high enough, then jump-rope is excellent. Jumping jacks are good too. Why not try an exercise tape? They really are effective if you dedicate yourself to it. A lot of them are silly and 80's-style (Richard Simmons, Jane Fonda etc.), but the modern videos have gotten a lot cooler (think Tae-Bo and Crunch) so it might be worth looking into.

Re: Cardio Exercises to do in a room?

Hey ksaguy,
dancing, right?
There are a lot of great workout dvd's (or vhs) that are dance based: ballet, jazz, hip hop...
I have one that I think is really fun, and I do it at home all the time. I know they can be expensive, but if you get a few, and you alternate them, they really keep your interest (imo). And, if you like dancing, it's fun because you get the challange of memorizing the routine.

^Wow.
i was suggested 'workout vhs' in this thread generously be SurrealMeal, and i thought i would give it a try, but i guess Dancing sounds fun.

"it's fun because you get the challange of memorizing the routine"

That would be so cool. i like memorizing dance steps and doing them with the video. makes me feel i am a part of those back-up dancers. lol.
