    "all natural" protein shakes recipes?

What I mean by that is that I want recipes that DONT require the use of protein powder and supplements. I really just want to use protein in its natural state..like in fruits, nuts ect., but every shake recipe I have causes for protein powders and liquids. I'm pretty sure I can get a good amount of it from fruits, but I havent been able to find any recipes like this. Can someone tell me where I can find them, or at least what ingredients I can use to make my own.

    Thanks

You don't leave yourself much choice by Fruit and Nuts alone however there are a couple of items like Avacado's (Fruits) have about 4 gm of protein per each and Figs too , also Soy and Almonds are the highest in nuts (Peanuts are Legumes).

So, do you think that protein powders are healthy? I've heard some things about there being unsfe/unnatural ingredients in these powders

I believe for most people its okay unless you have Kidney problems. I take Whey protein every day due to its muscle building and it's one of the top foods on earth to raise Glutathione levels in the body. Some people / web sites slam dairy and thats fine to each their own however i've used this food for 20 yrs and thrive on it ! Soy milk/powder is also a good alternative ! harry!

I agree with 6foot3, protein shakes are healthy. However, if you still want to go with an "all-natural" option, simply drink milk, it is full of high quality protein.

Dry milk is really your only option. Soy flour will give you the protein but the taste is appalling. An option is soft tofu whipped in a blender with milk powder water and ice cubes.

But a protein powder really, really, really is the way to go.

    Forget fruits and nuts.

if you get a 100% whey, 100% soy, or Egg protein powders, it's natural! Get quality, and you can easily get lots of protein and not worry about extra stuff. Your health food store has unflavored powders too, so you don't even have to worry about artificial flavorings!
Only extra thing I'd suggest - if you decide to go with powders instead (good choice), spread your servings out. If one scoop contains ~20g, take one scoop at a time, not a bunch at once...it's a lot of protein for your tummy to take in and digest if you do it all together.
    Good luck!
