Gym problems

First time poster and needing some help here.

Living in Utah can be wonderful in the summertime because of many outdoor activities relatively close (hiking, biking, river-rafting, etc.) But I find myself it the winter time unable to get motivated to lose weight. All the snow and cold makes me want to sit at home and watch TV. I don't know if this is a problem for other people on this board, but I have a hard time going to the gym because I hate wandering eyes watching me as I work out. Does anyone feel the same inadequacies of working out with alot of people around?

I have tried the gym at my apartment complex, but the equipment is old and hard to use. What other options do I have? I have until September 9th to lose 25-30 pounds for my wedding. Please help me

Re: Gym problems

I live in a Canada... we are snow covered for half the year pretty much. I still get outside and walk... I don't like gym's either. So I bought myself a treadmill and when I can't get outside to walk, I walk inside. The snow and cold is a deterrent.. but honestly, when I get home I feel SO good. Try it... you might like it. ..

Re: Gym problems

I've recently purchased an elliptical, the Proform 900 SpaceSaver.

Re: Gym problems

Thanks you for the help. Just wondering if you knew of any places where I could find a decent quality elliptical or treadmill for a reasonable price online?

Re: Gym problems

I find that going to the gym in the early morning before work helps. Otherwise all day i think, "Ugh I have to go to the gym tonight" and then your evening is shot working out. By going in the morning you will feel better all day and it doesn't take time from your evening. I am in Wisconsin and I actually have seen decent ellipticals for like $200 at Shopko stores. Best of luck to you!
