40 lbs to loose, any suggestions?

So a year and a half ago I went on Weight Watchers for 6 months and I lost 30lbs. I am 22 and 5'4''. I went from 192 (size 17) to 162 (size12). I am very proud of that. But I still have another 40 lbs or so. I want to be around 125 lbs. I started my diet along with 50 trillion other human beings as my new years resolution. I'm doing a mix of cardio and pilates/yoga. Which I enjoy and have stuck with. When I started I was at 168 and now I'm back down to 162. But I can't seem to get passed 160. So what I'm asking is what are some things that you have tried to get over that nasty plateau? I don't know if I should do research and try a weight loss pill or if I should go to my physician (my mom has a thyroid problem) and see what they say. I am so frustrated and confused and fed up with my body. I want to get down to 125 so I can wear a 2 piece and be cute for my husband. Help me please and sorry for babbling...

Hi there!

When I was 16, I was where you are ... 5'4 and 168.

I started going to Curves for Women, but didn't change my eating that much. After 1 1/2 years or so I had lost 10-12 pounds.

When I came to University (age 18), I really wanted to lose weight. So I joined the Curves here and started eating better, and went from 147-130 pounds by the end of the school year.

During the summer I joined Curves back home, but bounced up to 139.
In the fall I rejoined Curves at university, started eating healthy, but then unluckily was struck down by appendicitis and didn't get back to a gym until November.

Since then, I have plateaued at 138-139 and am not going anywhere.

But since you haven't done Curves, maybe you should join and your body would get shaken up and jump over the plateau.

If you went 5 times a week and ate healthily, you could probably get that 40 pounds off really fast!

I, too, am trying to get down to 120-125. I'm on the Special K diet right now, Day 3. It's a quick way to lose 12 pounds...
