Unhappy Need Help

I am 27 year old female with everything against me. I have asthma and it really kicks in when i try to exericse. I weigh 260 lbs and i am only 5'1. i have been on different meds for my asthma like steroids (among others) and i feel like i am in a loosing battle. I try to eat healthy and drink plenty of water but nothing helps. I just got a new puppy and we walk about a mile everyday. I work in reciving dept for a retail store moving appl. and lwan mowers all day as well. can anyone please give me tips on just how to get jump started. I have got to find somthing that works.... I fear if i dont it's my life at stake..... Thanks to all for listening.

Hey I have a cousin who was really overweight and had suffered with asthma her whole life. Anyway I'm not sure exactly what she was taking for her asthma but she went to the doctor and had her medication changed to something else and all of the sudden within a few months her weight came wayyyy down, and she is real skinny today. You might want to research what you are taking for asthma and look into some of the side effects. In the meantime i'll talk to her and find out the whole story because I'm not sure on all the details.

baby steps! start exercising in small steps to help increase your ability. even if it means sitting in a chair and doing arm or ankle exercises. get heart going strong and take it all slow. not sure about the asthma meds as i am not experienced with them.

Even someone who ABSOLUTELY cannot even walk for exercise can at least drastically cut back on the amount of food eaten...whether healthy food or not.
Couch potatoes don't need musch more than their BMR calories.

Rob's girl,
Take that 1 mile walk every day and try to increase the distance...but all the while, cut your calories FAITHFULLY down to 1200. It will do the trick but it will take TIME to lose that 140 pounds.
If you can afford it, dieting under a physicians care (who is a diet specialist) might be the best way.

I have asthma also, i have been on advair for a while i have had to switch to the higher dosage one but it seems to do great, i usually cant do anything with out running to get my puffer! but i find it helps take it slow as long as your up and doing something, now that puppy is going to keep you on your toes, i got a mini weiner dog last year and she loves to go walk, or run, and drive me bonkers. I don't know if this will help but i hope so.
