Smile Hi all!

Hi everyone!

I'm new here just looking for some support! My name is Christine, 29, married, and have 3 wonderful children. I have been dieting off and on for years and finally after 2 LONG years of nursing school and 50 pounds heavier i have decided this is it! I have lost 14 pounds so far in 3 weeks. I cut my calories WAY down, joined Curves (which is awesome!),and walking quite a bit at work. I think the straw that broke the camel's back was when my 6 year old son got off the bus and said that another girl on the bus told him his mom is fat!!! I was mortified and here we are!!!! I now weight 239 and looking to get down to about 150....before children i was only about 110!!! I know i won't get back there but 150 would be nice!!! Thanks for having me and i look forward to all the good ideas with posting!!!

Hi there! Congrats on taking steps to improve your health and, consequently, lose weight. There will be ebbs and flows along the way. Just keep in mind the big picture. Good luck!!

OH MY GOSH!!! I can relate. Last week I was watching DR. Phil, and it was an episode with people who weighed like 500-1000 pounds. My 7 year old DS said "Mom, those people are fatter than you!"

I'm 5'3" and currently weigh 185. I have lost 20lbs since May, but have been stuck on a plateau since December. But I started back to the gym this week, and am determined to take the weight off.
