Post-miscarriage weightgain blues & Xenedrine: will it work?

I am new to this board,so forgive me for the redundant Xenedrine (w/o ephedra)topic. I am curious about recent success stories and need some encouragement. I have been on Phentermine/Bontril etc. off and on over the past two years and successfully lost a collective 30lbs. I exercise moderately and used to be quite conscious of my diet. However, I became pregnant in Feb and had a miscarriage 6wks ago. During the pregnancy, I went on a cruise, got laxed and slipped into pregnant "eating for two" mode quite effortlessly and watched my weight shoot from 135 to 155 almost overnight! After the miscarriage, I wallowed in self-pity for a while and ate what I wanted, when I wanted and felt justified in doing so. Now with the onset of summer, I am horrified at my inability to wear last years clothes and want to see 135 ASAP.
I do plan to get pregnant again after the summer (and experience was a great teacher about eating so carelessly) so prescription drugs are out of the question, and after reading about Xenendrine, I am quite excited. I have planned a rigorous workout schedule and have resigned to eat in moderation, but I am still in need of feedback about my choice of over the counter supplementation.
Thank you in advance for reading my lifestory(smile)and leaving any feedback---its certainly appreciated.

thank you for your response! I got the Xenedrine without ephedra in it after debating danger vs. quick fix, so we'll see how it goes. keep me posted on the hydroxy cut--there seems to be more than one and I wasn't sure which one I needed, so I just went with the Xenedrine EFX.

I also had a miscarraige around the same time you did. And I also put on a significant amount of weight. I have done both hydroxy cutt and xenadrine, and I liked hydroxy cutt much better and saw better results. But it is very tough on your system, and I actually wondered if it had something to do with my miscarriage. I was on it a month before I was pregnant. I have been working out vigorously, with weights and cardio, and have been on slimfast and a strict 1300 calorie diet. I initially lost 6 pounds, but now seemed to have stopped. I also question if I should try the scan diet instead of slimfast. Good luck with your weightloss, and if anyone has any suggestions please let me know!

You might want to try looking into the carbohydrates addict diet. I talks alot about how blood sugars react in the body. Do you have access to a library, or you could try a search on the web. Also have you ever had a thyriod test done? Check the archives for this. So sorry to hear of the loss you had. <IMG SRC=""> My sister went through this twice, and it is so sad. You've come to the right place for support though, lots of caring people ready to help out. Diana

Re: Post-miscarriage weightgain blues & Xenedrine: will it work?

drs--thank you for the thoughtful reply. I've joined Weight Watchers since my initial posting----I really didn't like how the Xenedrine made me feel and thought that WW would help me develop the sensible eating habits I need to promote a healthy pregnancy.
I have tried the Carb Addict's diet---loved the results, hated the restrictions. I'm simply not a meat eater and wasn't willing to make the lifetime change to keep the results of the diet.

I am excited about WW and am wondering why I didn't join a long time ago instead of endangering my body with quick chemical fixes.

Thanks for all the supportive comments!!!
