    Post Ingrown Pubic Hair??????

On my pubic area (not around my vagina), but more below my tummy,in my pubic hair area have had this bump for quite awhile.

I am almost positive that it is an ingrown hair.

Sometimes, when it gets really sore I'll try to give it a little squeeze (to reliever pressure because it is really painful) and a bunch of fluid comes out. The pus is kinda cloudy color and then followed by blood sometimes.

Also, the pus is REALLY stinky.

I had one on the other side and eventually I found out that it was a pubic hair that kinda coiled under my skin.

But, that one didnt heal until after the hair was out.

So, my questions are... why does that pus stink so bad? and is there any way (besides poking around with a needle) to get the hair out quicker?? and should I just go to the doctor and if so, do they get the hair out??

Well, I guess I'd get an alcohol swab, a needle and a tweezers and just go at it. Keep it clean and maybe put some antibacterial stuff on it and maybe a little band-aid after you get the hair out. I HATE those things, they drive me crazy.

By the location of the bump and the pus that oozes from it, you no doubt have folliculitis. It's caused when an ingrown hair becomes becomes invaded with bacteria.

The normal course of treatment is oral antibiotics and Bactroban ointment. It's easily treatable; I just went through treatment for it myself.

See your doctor and good luck.

My boyfriend had a cyst in that same general area. The pus in cysts smells extremely bad because it is infected. The doctor removed his cyst and he has had no problems since. Good luck!
