Testosterone cream & menopause

I have been using 2% Testoterone every other day in cream form for almost 3 years now with good results. It was prescribed because my libido was zip (I am 50) and my doctor discovered my levels were low. There have been no negative side effects that I am aware of. However, I have experienced quite a bit of clitoral enlargement. I went from a "normal" size to a little over an inch. This has not been a problem and in fact has rendered me more orgasmic. The enlargment became noticiable after about 3 months, continued for about a year and there has been no more growth since. I wondered if anyone else has experienced the same thing. It seems that doctors are precribing it more and more yet I never hear about this particular issue. Just curious. Thanks much

Re: Testosterone cream & menopause

Hey Queenbee,
I used the 2% testosterone cream last year for no libido but I was also taking HRT's. The cream worked wonders and my husband was not a crab anymore. I stopped taking it for awhile and then also went off the HRT's since I had been on them for 5 years. Last month I started with the cream again but it doesnt seem to be doing much of anything and I am thinking it is because I dont take the extra boost of hormones with the HRT's. I knew that one of the side effects was an enlarged **** but haven't noticed the change in size. What I did notice, however, was that the **** would get extremely hard when I was aroused and I had many more multiple orgasms. I am going to keep using it until the tube is gone however and hope for the best.

Re: Testosterone cream & menopause

Hi Pattibuckle,

I was also doing the HRT thing and decided to stop. I now take Evening Primrose Oil softgels 500mg each 3 times a day (Health food store). I find that it really keeps me lubricated. Plus I continue to use the testosterone cream. My script says to apply to the labia majora assuming they mean an inside edge of course but I always applied it directly on and around my ****. That could be why you have not experienced the growth that I have. But no matter because you are right about getting noticeably harder and orgasm are better. I have since tried viagra and all I can say is WOW. My **** is a little more that an inch long and a half inch wide so needless to say it was interesting having a "hard on" for so long. Please keep me posted as to how you are doing. Peace to you and yours.
