tri-sprintec pill

I went today to my doc and she told me about the new generic birtcontol that is similar to the ortho-tri-cyclen.The name is tri-sprintec.I have carefirst which is the blue cross insurance and i had to pay $104.99 for a 3month supply.Well i found out that my insurance doesn't cover that drug, they don't have that generic.Anyway has anyone tried any generic birthcontrol pills? One of my girlfriends says it's the same just like the ortho,it's only cheaper.PLease any advice is welcome.I know i used to take the original ortho tri-cyclen and it helped my skin and cramps.

My insurance covers the generic I got and I am saving a lot instead of paying $25 I now pay $10.00.. I called my doctor to see what he thinks.. he should call me on Friday I'd be happy to let you know what he thinks..

Hi,

thanks for the reply.I didn't know that some insurances don't have the generics but yeah giving $34.99 for a generic it's the same as the real one.Let me know what happens,i have to wait for a phonecall from my doctor and see what she says about this.
