cervical polyup

hello all!! i had my cervical polyup removed today they are gonna send it off for a biopsy, so here is my question are polyups cancerous? i am sooo scared!!! and i wont find out until for about a week

any advice would be appreciated!!!

I've read most cervical polyps are benign, so try not to worry. They usually occur as a result of inflammation or infection. Keep us posted on your results

thanks SRMom, I am worried though (cus i am a worry wart!!)
i wonder what kind of infection can cause this... I have recentaly gotten off the pill and am TTC so i wonder if that had anyting to do with it... My follow up in 2 weeks, but i dont think i can wait that long!!!
