where did my period go?

I haven't had a period in a month and a half. i'm kinda worried...and actually somewhat missing it lol. i'm 21, and have not had sex in three months...so pregnancy isn't a concern. i just don't know where it is...any ideas?

Re: where did my period go?

Any changes in your diet? Have you lost a lot of weight lately? Any pain? are you under a tremendous amount of stress?

Are you feeling stressed? Stress can cause you to miss a period.

Re: where did my period go?

you have 2 options....either wait it out to see if it will return....or go to your GYN and they can prescribe you some medication that will make you start. it is a 10 day supply of meds...you take it once a day...you can start your period anytime from day 1 of taking it....on up to 3 weeks after taking the first pill.....but most likely before you finish taking them.

this has happened to me a couple of times (i was 31 and 32 when it did)....the way the dr explained it....my body just "forgot" to drop an egg....so it didnt know to start bleeding. (at least in my case, that was the explained reasoning). it can and does happen for no reason....so dont worry too much unless it keeps happening.
