Re: explain birth control pills....

Birth control pills are different for everyone............some stop their period and some just have a very light period. There are so many different one's out there, sometimes you have to try several before you find the right one for you. I personally cannot take the pill, the hormone's in them drive me in sane, and i dont like anything that actually stops my period cuz i dont want to think im pregnant every month and it is natural to have a period.

Re: explain birth control pills....

yes, you (should) still have periods when you are on the pill. some pills allow you to have a 28 day cycle, others a 3 month cycle. pills that work on a 3 month cycle are monophasic (all of the pills except the placebos are the same) instead of triphasic (dosage varies for 21 days).

Re: explain birth control pills....

Oh.........if you need them to regulate your period they do help with that, and if you do have a heavy period it will help with that as well. Also it can help with cramps too.

mamicita-

Yes, it is perfectly fine. I was put on BC before I got married and was not sexually active. I also needed them to regulate my period.

Re: explain birth control pills....

yes it great for irregular cycles.

I used to have irregular cycles with heavy bleeding for 5-7 days.

when on BCP i had a regular 28 day cycle and light bleeding for 4 days.

And yes it's completely safe to use if your not sexually active.
