    pain on very upper thigh

I have a queston...is there a ligament on the very top of the thigh9by the crease) that causes pain occasionally an dinto the groin area of the abdomen? It is not a hernia, I have had this for quite some time and had hernia surgery last year. I dont know what it is! It causes like a catch feeling...thanks!

I have that same kind of thing and I worry if it's a blood cot.

I know this sounds strange, but I think you should consider if it is endometriosis. Plus, if you sometimes have heavy periods, endo is one of the things that could be causing this. How old are you?

I had pain in the area you describe for years. I began having pain further up into the abdominal area, and after they did all the lower gastro tests and didn't find anything, they did a laparoscopy and found out I had endometriosis. They burned it out with a laser and the pain went away for years. It has only started to come back recently, that little painful catch in the crease of the thigh, near the groin. It is so weird, but when the endometrial tissue strays out of the uterus, it can adhere to other body tissues and cause pain and inflammation in areas nearby that you would never dream of. Hope you can figure out what is causing you pain with a minimum of trouble. Take care.

    aqua
I was thinking the same thing. That is why I asked her how her periods were. I had severe Adeno (Endometriosis Interna) and I had alot of pain in my thighs as well as groin, abdomen, and back pain

    NO
Endo does not realy show up on a ultrasound. But I have heard once maybe twice of Endo showing up on a Transvaginal, but the true way to dx Endo is with a laparoscopy.

You can also have a MRI to see how big your uteris is. I had one done 8 years ago due to a hernitaed disk. They found that my Uteris was enlarged with a mass. I saw my OB about it, but he did nothing.

1 year ago I had a Laparoscopy (by another OB) and they found my Uteris was Enlarged and boggey along with other problems with my ovaries and pelvis.

It turned out I had Adenomyosis (Endometriosis Interna) PCOS and Pelvic Congestion Syndrome.

The Lap is your best bet.
