Might be genital herpes. Often times people break out at the time of period because of hormones. It could even be an allergy to a scented pad? Ask yourself, are you using anything different at the time of your period like wet wipes etc?
My posts are just my opinion only and are not of a professional nature.

This sounds a lot like genital herpes but it could be a number of things. If you shave down there that could have A LOT to do with it also the scented pads. I know this was already mentioned just letting you know you're not the only one but your best bet would to get it checked out. Even if the bumps go away go get blood work done for any STD's and specifically ask for genital herpes a lot of offices don't even test for that unless specified (scary huh). It may just be part of your vulva you've never noticed before and you could have a small yeast infection. Either way best of luck.

Re: Itchy bumps near vagina.

First I would brainstorm about any changes you may have made lately regarding the type of detergent you wash your underwear with, bodywash that may come in contact with your lady parts, scented pads/tampons, shaving creams/gels, etc. Also, if you wear nylon underwear as opposed to cotton that could be irritating you. However, your symptoms do resemble those of herpes, so I would be sure to get checked out by your doctor if it doesn't go away.

umm may I ask how long you had the bumps for?
It doesnt itch anymore but some of the bumps are there... its been a few weeks after my period now (it started when my period started).
