Unhappy Do i have 'RECTOCELE' prolaps?

Hi to all,

Im new to this and to be honest desperate for advice before i brave my GP.
I had my 2nd baby 18 months ago, he was born vaginally (against advice of my doctors) with the help of vontuse and eventually forceps.
My recovery was slow as i had to be cut from front to back, since having him nothing has really felt the same but i'm sure that's normal after childbirth. I have happily lived with the 'feeling different' but over the last few months have been having things happen that no 25 year old should deal with.

When i place a finger in my vagina i can feel a bulge against what i guess would be the back wall, when i need to open my bowels this can Triple in size and protrude out of my vagina. when i try to pass the stool i have allot of trouble and often have to 'help it along' myself. I have a constant heavy feeling down there and feel as though i need to check constantly.

When my husband and i have sex (not very often sue to pain and following issues) i am in agony, i also feel as though every time he moves inside me something is being pushed out of my bum, and, with every thrust, we're greeted with 'wind' i can't stop coming out.

As i said i am 25 and finding this a horrible thing to go through. luckily my husband is 100% wonderful and is totally understanding.

Any advice would be appreciated, thank you :0)

Please please don't suffer in silence but do go and see your GP who will contact your local gynaecology department. It sounds to me like you have a prolapse. It isn't life threatening, but if you don't get it seen to it will alter your quality of life, like you said you are only 25, far too young for this.

Re: Do i have 'RECTOCELE' prolaps?

Since posting i have been to the GP, it turns out i have TWO forms of prolaps, front wall and the rectocele, i have agreed to see a specialist nurse to try out some exercises for a while before resorting to surgery and the possibility of a hystorectomy

Hi, Im new to this site and don't know when you left this message. I will be having surgery to repair rectocele and other things. Can you tell me why you were told you might need a hystorectomy? You are so young and it sounds to me that surgery to correct the prolapses would be wonderful. If done by a good doctor. I cant stress enough how important it is to get second opinion for this type of surgery. And to educate yourself on the different types of procedures used to correct these types of problems. Blessing to you, your family and future
