    D+C for post menopausal bleeding
    Hi There:

    New to this board.

    Had a hysteroscopy and D+C on 3/16/10 due to post-menopausal bleeding. Thankfully, biopsy was normal

    Can someone tell me for how long it is normal to have light bleeding and/or staining after these procedures?

    Welcome.

    I had the exact same procedure a couple of year ago and I believe I spotted for about 3-4 days.

    Glad everything came back negative.

    That's great news that the biopsy was negative but did they tell you what the reason was for your postmenopausal bleeding?

    No, the source of the bleeding was not determined. I have my 6 week post-op appointment with my GYN at the end of April and that is the first question I am asking. In the interim, my bleeding then spotting is thankfully gone!

    That's great that your bleeding has stopped. I'm sure it is something very minor. Best of luck to you!

    Please let us know what your doctor says when you see him.
